Assistant Lecturer Nebras Kamel Al-Asadi from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, in collaboration with Assistant Professor Dr. Muslim Ali and Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Qasim from the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Karbala, have published a scientific research paper titled: “The Effect of Carburizing Treatment Parameters on the Properties of Low-Carbon Steel for Vehicle Structures” in the Archives of Materials Science and Engineering journal, indexed in Scopus.

The purpose of this research is to improve the mechanical properties of low-carbon steel to make it suitable for various industrial applications at a lower cost compared to titanium alloys and high-entropy alloys. The research objectives were achieved through carburizing processes at varying depths, depending on the thermal treatment conditions.
